Concertina Book Workshop

with Molly Meng

Sunday, February 22, 2015, 11:00am - 2:00pm

$60. (includes supplies) for 3 hours (1 session)

This workshop has already taken place! Join our mailing list and be the first to learn about upcoming workshops!

A fantastic way to display something, keep it standing up or lay it down, in this class we'll be creating a hard-backed accordion-style book.

We'll learn how to construct the book and then add all the juicy ephemera, vintage photos, stamping, envelopes and any other personal keepsakes you'd like to add.

We'll be working with vintage book pages, ephemera, paper, stamps, using paper and fabric with hand-drawn templates and all sorts of other construction concepts we can explore in this small but mighty Concertina Book.

It's always a good idea to think about who this book might be for... will it be for inspirational quotes and pages to keep? will it be a baby book? maybe for someone's birthday? You may want to bring personal items or photos that you may want to use when collaging into your book.

We can comfortably accommodate six students for each workshop - click on the link to purchase and reserve your seat.

All workshops are held in the Meng & Mahar Studio Space located in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles. Click here for the address, directions , a map and parking information.
