Join us in learning a truly vintage craft as we punch and pierce tin to create works of art for use and beauty. Believed to be brought to our shores by the very first settlers, we’ll be working with and piercing a gorgeous bright rolled tin and all different tools of the trade, as well as creative items to find just the right tool for your motif. We’ll discuss aging tin and all forms of tools that can be used for future projects.
All tools and materials will be provided for students to create punched tin designs that will commence in a wooden box, perfect for holding your jewels or other treasures. Students will also create a twist on this old craft as we explore hobo symbols and make a dozen small cards of these fascinating legends.
We can comfortably accommodate six students for each workshop - click on the link to purchase and reserve your seat.
All workshops are held in the Meng & Mahar Studio Space located in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles. Click here for the address, directions, a map and parking information.
Workshop Policy:
At this time, due to the amount of preparation that goes into each of our workshops and the intimate class size we offer, there are no refunds given nor credit given towards future workshops. In the unlikely case of a teacher cancellation, students will be credited the full amount of said class. Thank you for your understanding.
