Join us for a holi-DAY of festive making with Molly and Robert! This full day event includes two seasonal crafting projects with a mid-day lunch intermission at Grand Central Market.

10am - 12pm Morning Session, Diorama Ornament Workshop with Molly Meng

Create a pair of miniature diorama ornaments with all the charm of snow globes but without the watery mess! Molly has devised clever collage and assembly techniques for you to design your own wintry wonderlands encased in clear glass baubles. Select from a sweet smorgasbord of new and vintage materials.

12pm - 1:30pm No-Host Lunch at Grand Central Market

A Downtown Los Angeles staple since 1917, the newly revitalized Grand Central Market now boasts more than three dozen casual eateries from which to choose. Purchase your lunch (see the list of vendors here) and we'll all sit together in the open seating area. The Market is a two city block walk from our studio (about 10 minutes).

1:30 - 4pm Afternoon Session, Embroidery Sampler Workshop with Robert Mahar

Create a simple, small scale (4" round) sampler to commemorate the 2015 holiday season - utilizing just three embroidery stitch styles! Robert will guide you through the embroidery basics with tips and techniques to successfully stitch this keepsake - which could serve as a tree ornament or wall decor. No previous embroidery experience required!

We will be opening this workshop up to eight students - click on the link to purchase and reserve your seat.

Workshop Policy:

At this time, due to the amount of preparation that goes into each of our workshops and the intimate class size we offer, there are no refunds given nor credit given towards future workshops. In the unlikely case of a teacher cancellation, students will be credited the full amount of said class. Thank you for your understanding.
