In celebration of the latest issue (#29) of Uppercase Magazine, wherein my Curiosity Book Box was highlighted, I decided it was time to have the workshop!
Always a huge hit, this class takes you through the transformation of a book to a box…We will learn how to gut a book, and build a box inside. We will go through the entire construction. As well as tons of elements of collage and 3-d elements that can be added. The ultimate piece of work can be a curiosity box that holds your treasures, or treat them as a work of art that stands up to be seen. All materials provided, but if you have a book or book cover that you'd rather use, feel free to bring it (your grandma's favorite cookbook, or a children's classic) and if you do, the spine needs to be at least 2.5 inches thick.
It's always a good idea to think about who this book might be for... will it be for inspirational quotes and pages to keep? Will it be a baby book? Maybe for someone's birthday? You may want to bring personal items or photos that you can use when collaging into your book.

Workshop Policy:
At this time, due to the amount of preparation that goes into each of our workshops and the intimate class size we offer, there are no refunds given nor credit given towards future workshops. In the unlikely case of a teacher cancellation, students will be credited the full amount of said class. Thank you for your understanding.
